United Rising Stars - U8 & U6 (Formerly “Recreational”)
Greencastle United Soccer Club’s - United Rising Stars is the foundation on which the entire club is built. Our program introduces young players to the game of soccer at a level that is both fun and exciting. The program is built on a curriculum committed to produce both enthusiasm for the sport as well as player development from the ages of 4 to 8 to ready the player for our United Juniors program.
Coed Teams
Best Practices For Team Formation: We attempt to make teams fair and balanced based on player registration data.
Players participate according to “US Club Soccer Age Band” (See “Player Development” page).
Game Days: Saturday Morning
No Score Kept: Emphasis on Participation and Fun!

Shin Guards (Worn Under Socks)
Sneakers or Cleats (No Baseball/Football Cleats Permitted)
Soccer Ball: Size 3 (Optional)
United Rising Stars - U6 (Ages 4 to 5)
Practice: 1-hour, One Night Per Week (No Fridays)
Games: 4v4 Formation With 8-Minute Quarters
Player Promotion: United Rising Stars U6 players may be eligible for the United Rising Stars U8 program to promote advanced player development.
United Rising Stars - U8 (Ages 6 to 8)
Practice: 1-hour, Two Nights Per Week (Ex: M&W or T&Th. No Fridays)
Games: 4v4 Formation With 12-Minute Quarters
Player Promotion: United Rising Stars U8 players may be eligible for the United Juniors program to promote advanced player development.
